Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (LCIB) has launched a new managing general agent founded on its underwriting expertise – Aura Risk Management.

Aura Risk Management is an MGA that administers programs and aggregates commercial and personal lines wholesale placements via a national network of carriers, producers, and agency partners. It is licensed to operate in over 30 states, with plans to expand into more regions.

To head up this MGA arm, LCIB has tapped Tony McIntosh, AU, CYB, CRIS to serve as the president of Aura Risk Management. McIntosh has more than 10 years of underwriting and program administration experience, and previously served at the California-based MGA KRM Risk Management. He has also worked for companies such as First Foundation Bank and Barney & Barney, and previously managed his own insurance brokerage firm.

"Our MGA is built by brokers, for brokers. We exist entirely to help our partners win. We radiate our shared core values with Liberty of 'Integrity, Excellence, Caring, Kindness, Fairness, Teamwork, Good Feelings and Fun!' in both our current business philosophy and relationships,” commented McIntosh.

McIntosh added that thanks to a heavy investment in underwriting and business development talent, Aura Risk Management has products that are “relevant and meet the current needs of many insureds.”
