Specialty managing general underwriter Waypoint Underwriting Management has announced that it has obtained coverholder approval to underwrite accident and health (A&H) products on behalf of ArgoGlobal Syndicate 1200 at Lloyd’s.

“This is great news for us and our clients, as it gives us added capacity and capabilities in our target markets,” said Joe Horan, Waypoint managing partner. “Becoming an approved coverholder at Lloyd’s also reflects the high quality of our team.”

“We’re delighted that Lloyd’s has approved us as a coverholder, enabling us to work alongside ArgoGlobal’s impressive team,” said Jason Denechaud, Waypoint managing partner. “The approval represents another important step forward in our continuing product diversification and growth.”

The move marks an expansion of ArgoGlobal’s footprint in North America.

“We are excited to work with Waypoint to expand ArgoGlobal’s access to A&H expertise in the US,” said Adam Zawia, ArgoGlobal A&H class underwriter. “Waypoint has a proven track record in delivering profitable business, and the underwriter will complement Argo’s high-quality team in London.”
