Marsh has announced the appointment of David Rahr as its global leader of Multinational Client Service (MCS). Rahr succeeds Justin Walsleben, who has retired from the company.

Rahr will be based in Chicago. He will report to Flavio Piccolomini, president of Marsh International, and Martin South, president for the US and Canada. In his new role, effective April 15, Rahr will oversee Marsh’s MCS team of 1,200 specialists who provide global insights and strategic risk advice to multinational companies across 130 countries.

Prior to accepting his new role, Rahr served as risk management segment leader for Marsh’s US Central Region.

“As evidenced by the global coronavirus pandemic, multinational clients are operating in a complex, interconnected environment where strategic insights and advice are vital to managing their risks on a global scale,” Piccolomini said.

“David is a passionate leader and client advocate with a strong track record for delivering complex global programs,” South said. “He is the right choice to lead the MCS team and further advance our ability to support our multinational clients with cutting-edge risk solutions.”

“Whether operating in one or dozens of countries around the world, managing a global insurance program can be challenging, especially in today’s environment,” Rahr said. “Marsh brings the global insight, disciplined operating process, and deep experience needed to assist multinational organizations in managing their global programs. I look forward to leading this distinguished team and working to exceed the expectations of our multinational clients.”
