Pioneer Underwriters has a new executive committee member in the form of Hazel Beveridge, who has been recruited as chief actuary.
The former DUAL International chief actuary and strategic director was most recently part of a specialized team within the Financial Reporting Council. Beveridge’s more than two decades of pricing and reserving experience also spans roles at Markel International, Swiss Re, and KPMG, not only in London but also in Zurich.
“Actuarial excellence is a key differentiator in this market, and we have committed to investing significant resources into expanding our capabilities in this area,” commented Pioneer chief executive Andrew McMellin.
“Hazel’s expertise, longstanding experience in the market, and sterling reputation will be a real asset to Pioneer as we build our business into the medium term.”
