A California-based speciality brokerage has announced the appointment of two underwriters.

Professional Program Insurance Brokerage (PPIB), which caters to specialty and service industries, promoted Joanna Rogers and Khanh Le to underwriters as of January 01, the firm said in a release.

Rogers was promoted after three years at PPIB, which she spent learning underwriting and serving as an executive assistant to the company’s president, Susan Preston, and vice president, Susan Etter.

She was promoted in recognition of her “many contributions to the growth of PPIB and her excellent skills in underwriting,” the Novato-headquartered firm said in a release.

Le was promoted after spending two years handling renewals for medispas, tattoo shops, and permanent cosmetic technicians.

She was promoted to a role with more public outreach due to her “strong ability to both underwrite and sell.”
