Privilege Underwriters, Inc. (PUI) and the companies of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies have announced the appointment of Drew Saad as chief underwriting officer and the promotion of Dea Malollari to chief risk officer.

The appointments come following the promotion of Martin Leitch to CEO and Dave Logan to president, PURE said.

Saad brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the company. In his new role, he will oversee PURE’s underwriting and product teams. Prior to joining PURE, Saad held senior underwriting and product leadership roles at Allstate, Farmers Insurance and Zurich Insurance Group.

Malollari will serve as chief risk officer while also retaining her current responsibilities as PURE’s chief actuary, the company said. In her new role, she will chair the company’s Risk Steering Committee and act as the liaison between its internal audit team and Tokio Marine Holdings’ risk management group.

“PURE was built on the foundation of being different, providing unparalleled service, delivering innovative solutions and rewarding members with broad coverage and competitive prices,” Leitch said. “This continues to be PURE’s vision and north star. As I look ahead, we will focus on continuing to deliver greater value for our members while ensuring the sustainability of our businesses, and Drew and Dea play pivotal roles in those objectives.”

PURE recently landed a spot on IBA’s list of best insurance companies to work for.
