Sarasota, Fla.-based Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency, one of the area’s oldest and largest independent insurance agencies, has announced the acquisition of Jeff DeJongh and Associates.
Also based in Sarasota, Jeff DeJongh and Associates is a property and casualty insurance agency that serves Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota counties. Jeff DeJongh will join Purmort & Martin Insurance as vice president of sales. The acquisition bolsters Purmort & Martin’s footprint in the area.

Jeff DeJongh and Associates’ three staff members will also join Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency.
Purmort & Martin Insurance Agency was founded in 1959. It specializes in personal and commercial lines, life insurance and workers’ compensation.
