RT Specialty has announced the promotion of Marissa Moscowitz to the position of chief operating officer.

Moscowitz, who has been part of RT Specialty since 2019, brings over 15 years of experience in information technology, business intelligence, and operations to her new role.

Before her tenure with RT Specialty, Moscowitz held the position of director of operations at Evive and spent significant time at Ventiv Technology, where she managed a team responsible for account management and project management.

In her tenure at RT Specialty, Moscowitz has played a role in integrating acquisitions. As COO, she is now tasked with driving the company’s focus on automation, process improvement, and achieving operational excellence. Her responsibilities will also include overseeing the business training teams and the support teams for RT Connector, RT Specialty’s proprietary digital E&S marketplace.

Commenting on Moscowitz’s promotion, Ed McCormack, president of RT Specialty, highlighted her impact on the organization.

“We are thrilled to have Marissa officially join our executive team as RT’s COO. Her time at Ryan Specialty and RT have shown that she’s a difference maker, collaborator, and leader,” McCormack said.

This sentiment was echoed by Michael VanAcker, executive vice president of RT Specialty, who commended Moscowitz’s dedication and talent.

“Marissa is an incredibly dedicated, talented, and solutions-oriented professional. She and the teams she’s built have thrived in servicing RT Specialty’s fast-paced production teams and their demands. This well-deserved promotion is reinforcing RT’s commitment to operational excellence,” VanAcker said.

In February, the specialty insurer announced an expansion for its RT Connector platform with the addition of cyber liability.
