Skyward Specialty Insurance Group has elevated the title of six senior vice presidents to president.

Lifting the lid on the move, Skyward Specialty said: “Each of these six leaders oversee units that have delivered impressive returns on capital and growth, with each now at a size and scale that substantially contributes to the company’s earnings.”

The new presidents, whose updated designation aims to “fully reflect their contributions,” are the following:

  • Mark Boland – transactional excess & surplus (E&S)
  • Rick Childs – construction
  • Doug Davies – global property
  • Jim Mormile – professional liability
  • Matthew Semeraro – surety
  • Rob Roberts – energy

Roberts took on his new post following Jimmy Godfrey’s transition from energy executive vice president to chairman for energy.

Skyward Specialty chair and chief executive Andrew Robinson commented: “Under their impressive leadership, we’ve built distinctive products and solutions, and each continue to make tremendous progress towards having a durable and defensive position in their respective markets.

“I know I speak for our entire executive leadership team in congratulating Mark, Rick, Doug, Jim, Rob, and Matt for this well-deserved recognition.”

The insurance company operates through eight underwriting divisions: accident & health, captives, global property & agriculture, Industry solutions, professional lines, programs, surety, and transactional E&S.

Subsidiaries of Skyward Specialty consist of Houston Specialty Insurance Company, Imperium Insurance Company, Great Midwest Insurance Company, and Oklahoma Specialty Insurance Company.
