Stephens Insurance raids Gallagher for energy pros

As the brokerage makes a big push into energy, it’s been busy poaching for its Houston office

Stephens Insurance, of Little Rock, Arkansas has announced the hiring of Stuart Wallace and Morgan Moore. Their experience in the energy sector is expected to help Stephens with its growing oil and gas client portfolio in Houston and other markets.
 
 “Our move into Houston is in response to demand for our unique offering and expertise in the industry’s own backyard. We look forward to Stuart and Morgan’s leadership, guidance, and contributions to growth in this market,” said President and CEO Martin M Rhodes.
 
Wallace will serve as president of the recently opened Stephens Insurance Houston office. He comes to Stephens from Arthur J Gallagher & Co., where he spent 15 years as a lead producer and held several senior management positions concluding with managing director of the Energy Practice Group.
 
Moore joins as senior vice-president. She worked with Wallace at Gallagher where she focused on energy-related Primary Casualty programs and client relations.
