The Hilb Group (THG) has announced the acquisition of Maryland-based Southern Maryland Insurance (SMI). The transaction became effective July 01.
SMI focuses on property and casualty insurance. It offers coverage to businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. SMI’s managing director, Ken Wyvill, and his staff will join THG’s Mid-Atlantic operations and will report to Rick Tepel.
