AmRisc Group names CEO of wholesale brand

AmRisc Group, the largest catastrophe-focused managing general agent in the US, has announced that it has appointed Molly Nickoles (pictured above) as CEO of Waypoint Wholesale, the company’s wholesale brand.

“Molly embodies our core values of innovation, leadership, integrity, excellence, and relationships,” said Brian Reid, CEO of AmRisc Group. “We are excited about the energy and expertise she will bring to serving our wholesale producers at Waypoint.”

Nickoles previously served as the chief underwriting officer for the company’s Builders Risk product. She began her career as a senior underwriter for AmRisc Group in 2003.

“Molly has been with AmRisc for 18 years and has been an incredible asset to our company since the beginning,” said Laura Beckmann, president and chief operating officer of AmRisc Group. “She has been instrumental in growing our Builders Risk product, and I have no doubt that she will add a tremendous amount of value in her new role as Waypoint CEO.”

Nickoles’ appointment is part of an ongoing strategy to position AmRisc Group and its executive leadership team for continued growth as the company approaches $2 billion in gross written premium, it said.

“A key factor in our success is our partnerships,” Nickoles said. “As the CEO of Waypoint, I want to continue to build the trust our wholesale partners have in our people, our products and our services.”

AmRisc Group has also announced other leadership changes. Billy Hammond will succeed Nickoles as chief underwriting officer of the Builders Risk product. Marcus Kelly has been appointed division president of the now combined Waypoint Technical Risks and National Specialty. In preparation for the upcoming retirement of Scott Hornsby, Thomas Bonnarigo will take the role of AmRisc chief underwriting officer of national accounts in 2022.
