Venture Insurance Programs has chosen Vortex Weather Insurance as its exclusive provider of parametric weather insurance policies, marking Vortex’s debut in managing general agency (MGA) partnerships.

With this partnership, Venture’s network of agents and brokers, along with their clients, can now access Vortex’s parametric weather insurance for a wide array of outdoor events, including but not limited to private club gatherings, concerts, sports competitions, races, fairs, and community festivities.
This initiative also ensures that clubs can protect their outdoor activities from potential economic losses due to adverse weather. Venture explained that it was attracted to Vortex’s straightforward and efficient claims process, which promises to disburse payments to clients within two weeks, providing prompt financial aid to the insured entities.
Philip Harvey, Jr, EVP of operations at Venture Insurance Programs, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying that the collaboration allows the firm to provide for its agents and brokers.
“This not only supports Venture’s commitment to private clubs, but also supports our client brokers seeking weather insurance for other special events,” Harvey said.
Echoing this sentiment, Eric Anderson, director of national sales - golf at Vortex Weather Insurance, remarked on the significance of this MGA partnership with Venture.
“Together, we aim to empower private clubs with the tools they need to navigate and mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions on their events and operations,” Anderson said.
