Brit Ltd has announced the appointment of Rich Hartman as senior vice president, construction professional at Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU). Hartman will be based in New York and will report to Tom Bongi, executive vice president of professional lines. In his new role, Hartman will be responsible for building and developing a construction professional group.

“Rich’s hire by BGSU builds strongly on the progress we have been making in developing and growing our professional lines offering under Tom Bongi’s leadership,” said Nick Davies, president of Brit Americas. “Rich brings both a long track record in the industry and a high level of technical expertise, and we look forward to delivering his skills to our clients in the construction space.”

“Last year we added a number of high-quality individuals to BSU, and I’m pleased that this continues into 2018,” said Brit CEO Matthew Wilson. “We have built an attractive platform for leading talent across the industry, and professional lines is one of a number of classes in which we see good potential as part of our broader growth strategy.”
