Woodruff Sawyer, one of the nation’s largest independent insurance brokerages, has announced the appointment of Tim Schmidt (pictured above) as vice president and producer in its Seattle office.

In his new role, Schmidt will partner with the company’s construction clients to navigate insurance products and advise on their overall risk management. Schmidt is a Certified Construction Risk Insurance Specialist.

Prior to joining Woodruff Sawyer, Schmidt served as a construction and property-casualty producer at Parker, Smith and Feek. Before that, he spent 10 years in commercial banking.

“I’m thrilled to join a world-class organization like Woodruff Sawyer and to help expand our construction presence in the Northwest,” Schmidt said.

“Tim brings an energy and passion for working with clients, along with a local presence for our customers in the Seattle area,” said Brett Bauer, senior vice president and Pacific Northwest practice leader for Woodruff Sawyer. “We’re very excited to add an experienced construction producer like Tim to our growing national construction practice.”
