Underwriting manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Company announced Monday that it is collaborating with EMC and SaaS data protection company Spanning to create a line of exclusive and comprehensive cyber security protection solutions.

The partnership, with support from Microsoft, is crafted with small and mid-sized organizations in mind. The risk management and data protection solutions offered will help such organizations with their cyber security needs.

The collaboration’s products and services include the Schinnerer Cyber Protection Package, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite, and Spanning Backup for Office 365.

“Our goal is to give business owners peace of mind by delivering a comprehensive software, security and data recovery solution to help them avoid the potential losses and consequences associated with cybercrime or even human error,” said Victor O. Schinnerer & Company president Brian Hanuschak.

“The collaboration between Schinnerer, Spanning and Microsoft will provide insureds with a valuable risk management solution.”

Schinnerer’s network of licensed insurance brokers and Microsoft’s and Spanning’s network of cloud solution providers will provide the cyber insurance and cloud-services solutions.

According to a release, insureds that buy and/or have an active Microsoft Office 365 license and Spanning Backup for Office 365 could be eligible for a Schinnerer Cyber Protection Package policy discount.
