Burns & Wilcox has appointed Tim Pasik (pictured above) as senior vice president, commercial products.
Pasik will report to executive vice president Scott Higgins and will be based in the company’s New York City office. He will be responsible for leading product strategy across commercial lines.
Burns & Wilcox president Danny Kaufman said Pasik will have a key role in uniting the company’s offerings for clients.
“Under Tim’s leadership, we will sharpen our product development strategy, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of the marketplace and align with today’s risk complexities,” Kaufman said.
Pasik’s responsibilities include oversight of several specialty commercial practices at Burns & Wilcox. He will work with Higgins to further integrate each sector into a broader commercial strategy.
Previously, Pasik spent more than a decade at Markel, where he served as product line leader for commercial wholesale excess and then regional president. His career also includes leadership roles at Gen Re and AEGIS Insurance Services.
Burns & Wilcox has also reinforced its Michigan operations with the appointment of Taras Shalay as associate managing director, alongside a new professional liability and commercial team.
Shalay, who previously spent five years with the company, returns with nearly two decades of experience in specialty insurance and professional liability. The Michigan team includes Tyler Hayden, Chantal Grumski, Andre Bridges, and Maria Rojo, who will focus on serving clients across Michigan and coordinate with colleagues throughout the Midwest.
The company also announced several leadership promotions as part of its expansion efforts across the US. Bonnie Steen was named regional vice president and will oversee operations in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama. William Briscoe has been elevated to vice president, retaining his role as managing director for the Oxford, Mississippi, and Birmingham, Alabama offices.
Chris Siegel, with a decade at Burns & Wilcox, has been promoted to vice president and will now oversee all company offices in Florida. Berri Willis was also named vice president, leading the company’s offices across the Carolinas, and Justin Dorman has taken on the role of associate managing director in Charleston, South Carolina.
