EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has announced that Edgewood Healthcare Advisors (an EPIC division) has appointed Matthew LeBlanc as healthcare practice leader for the eastern region.

In his expanded role, LeBlanc will report to Edgewood Healthcare Advisors national healthcare practice leader Susan Tewhill. He most recently served as leader of the company’s physician practice in West Hartford, CT. A release noted that LeBlanc will continue his leadership role with the physician practice, on top of his new regional position.

LeBlanc has more than 15 years of healthcare liability experience, having previously served as both partner and broker at HealthCare Risk Specialists. He has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Quinnipiac University and has a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designation.

“We are thrilled to have Matt step into this added leadership role and know that he will help the practice grow and provide consulting services to our clients in the healthcare industry,” commented Tewhill on LeBlanc’s appointment.
