Property-casualty broker NFP has announced the appointment of James Debenport (pictured above) as vice president of energy and marine for the energy practice within the company’s specialty business. In his new role, Debenport is responsible for supporting the growth of the energy practice. He will report to Vilma Vanegas, senior vice president and energy practice leader.

Debenport has more than 20 years of industry experience. He most recently served as vice president of a boutique wholesale brokerage firm specializing in the energy casualty business. Prior to that, he worked in a variety of brokerage and business development roles within the wholesale insurance space.
