Mergers & Acquisitions

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) has completed its acquisition of TriBridge Partners, adding employee benefits, retirement advisory, wealth management and personal insurance capabilities to its Mid-Atlantic operations while increasing its presence in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The completion follows an agreement announced in April, when MMA said it expected the deal to close during the second quarter of 2026.

With the transaction finalized, MMA's Mid-Atlantic division gains a combination of group health, wealth management and personal lines insurance expertise alongside its existing property/casualty operations.

TriBridge employees have joined MMA and will continue working from the firm's Columbia, Maryland, office.

Founded in 2013 through the merger of three regional brokerage and advisory firms, TriBridge provides health and employee benefits, retirement plan advisory, wealth management and individual insurance services to clients across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Among those joining MMA are TriBridge co-founder and CEO Heath Hykes, founding principal Dane Rianhard, principal John Morris and chief growth officer Paul Younkins.

The TriBridge transaction is one of several acquisitions announced by MMA in 2026.

In April, MMA also announced the acquisition of Seitz Insurance Agency, a Montana-based independent agency specializing in commercial and personal insurance, including agriculture, crop and energy risks. Terms of that transaction were also not disclosed.

Both deals continue MMA's strategy of adding established regional firms across its operating footprint in the United States.
