Sedgwick has announced its acquisition of Appraisal Service of Mississippi, Inc. (ASM), an auto and property appraisal services firm, in a move that expands its premier auto, specialty, and property claims solutions, as well as its talent network.
Founded in 1988, ASM specializes in providing auto and property appraisal services for leading insurance companies throughout Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the metropolitan area of Memphis, Tennessee.
Its team of appraisers brings expertise in automobiles, farm equipment, heavy equipment, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and tractor-trailers.
With ASM's acquisition, Sedgwick gains the expertise and capacity of field appraisers that will extend the reach of its auto and property appraisals to more customers and clients.
In a Press release, Sedgwick stated that the team will be a valuable addition - especially in the event of hurricane season and other catastrophic events - providing additional claims resources through its strong presence and experience across the region.
According to Chris Bakes, Sedgwick MD of Auto Solutions, the company is confident that ASM is a good fit, having partnered with them for years through its network.
