Starr Insurance president honored for philanthropy

Starr and Willis Towers Watson presidents recognized for leadership and charitable efforts at a recent event

The president and COO of Starr Companies’ Starr Insurance Holdings and Dominic Casserley, President, Willis Towers Watson were named as honoree at the UJA-Federation of New York’s General Insurance Annual Dinner recently, according to a Starr Companies release.

The UJA-Federation of New York is a nonprofit organization that provides for people in need, promotes Jewish life and learning, and strengthens communities in New York, Israel and around the world through the funding of more than 100 beneficiary agencies. Starr Insurance Holdings president and COO Charles H. Dangelo was recognized by the organization for his leadership and philanthropy, according to the release.

Starr Companies chairman Maurice R. Greenberg, a previous honoree, presented the award.

“Chuck has done a great job supporting organizations like the UJA-Federation and many others that help those in need,” Greenberg said.

“I am grateful to have received this award and congratulate the UJA for another very successful event,” Dangelo said. “Those that have attended this dinner for years have seen how it’s grown and the contributions it has made. A simple request to you all is to continue supporting the UJA-Federation and other nonprofits.”
