Bill Stratico (pictured), who came on board wholesale brokerage Brown & Riding (B&R) in 2010 as a management and professional liability broker, now serves as the company’s national professional liability practice leader.

“I am excited to help expand B&R’s specialization to further increase our ability to offer meaningful solutions to clients, foster even greater confidence with our carrier partners, and ensure that B&R can continue to offer expert service for years to come,” said Stratico, who will be working with specialty executive director Andrew Grim and management liability practice leader Paul Nowak.

Commenting on the appointment, Grim – who himself transitioned into the specialty remit in January – noted: “His wealth of experience and insights will undoubtedly strengthen the professional liability practice, allowing us to better address and exceed our clients’ expectations.”

An industry stalwart, Stratico brings more than 35 years of insurance experience to his new role.

“Bill has been a mentor to so many people,” Nowak highlighted. “He has an insightful knowledge of the professional liability sector and is always sensitive to the needs of underwriters, retailers, and insureds. With his knowledge, experience, and market relationships, I know he will help elevate our management & professional liability practice group.”

Aside from management & professional liability, the firm’s practice areas span amusement attractions & action sports, casualty, construction, energy & environmental, entertainment, financial institutions, franchise industry, healthcare, hospitality, human services, life sciences, mining, product recall & contamination, property, real estate, technology, transportation, underwriting & select accounts, and workers’ compensation.

Founded in San Francisco, B&R has been trading since 1980.
