Burns & Wilcox has expanded its Michigan leadership team with the appointment of Linda Koos as vice president and managing director. Koos will be based out of the company’s headquarters in the Detroit-Farmington Hills, Mich., area.
In her new role, Koos is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Detroit and Grand Rapids locations. She will report to Jeff Diefenbach, senior vice president and managing director at Burns & Wilcox.
“Linda’s extensive relationship management experience and longstanding success leading operations at the wholesaler, carrier and retail level is a vital asset to the Burns & Wilcox team,” Diefenbach said. “Her inspirational leadership style, paired with abilities to innovate products and develop effective business strategies, supports the company’s long-term growth.”
Koos has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Burns & Wilcox, she served as president of Hyland’s Ann Arbor, Mich., office. She has also held positions with AIG and AmWINS.

Burns & Wilcox said that Koos’ appointment strengthens the Michigan leadership team that oversees personal, commercial and professional insurance business.
