Pie Insurance has expanded its workers’ compensation insurance offering into New Jersey.

With the addition of New Jersey, Pie Insurance’s coverage is now available in 32 states and the District of Columbia. A release said that the company is “on track” to offer coverage from coast to coast in 2020.

“We’re here to transform how small businesses get insured,” said Pie Insurance founder John Swigart, who was the former CMO of Esurance. “The response we’ve received from business owners says that it’s working. We’re proud of what we’ve built and who we’ve built it for—and we’re excited to extend our offering to New Jersey’s many entrepreneurs.”

According to Pie Insurance, New Jersey is home to over 191,000 small businesses with employees. The state requires all employers to carry workers’ compensation insurance. The insurer hopes that its quick online quoting and reasonable prices will ensure that small business employers in NJ secure the coverage they need.

Pie Insurance has been steadily expanding the availability of its workers’ compensation insurance. In October, the company started offering its product in Rhode Island and Vermont.
