Talia Carbah

Talia Carbah is a Fiduciary Benefits Consultant at Ethos Benefits, a fee-based, fiduciary-first employee benefits advisory firm. She works on the purchaser’s side of the table, helping mid to large employers control healthcare costs, hold vendors accountable, and build governance processes that meet fiduciary duties as outlined under ERISA. Her clients seek out and understand the value of a sustainable benefits program with robust coverage that improves the health and financial outcomes of their people.

Talia’s career began at a small independent brokerage in Georgia, serving small-market employers and public-sector clients, including municipal benefits programs for city and county governments and local nonprofit organizations. Before that, she served at a large state-licensed wellness provider in Montana, where she led a large workforce across several locations and championed the organization’s first employee benefits plan from the plan sponsor seat.

Talia believes education creates empowered, conscious healthcare consumers. To support that work, she co-hosts Fiduciary Unfiltered: A Benefits Brain Date, a weekly LinkedIn Live with Ethos President Chelsea Ryckis, and writes Talia Talks Benefits, a free Substack covering a broad range of topics for plan sponsors. She speaks regularly at national and local HR and benefits conferences and has been a featured podcast guest discussing fiduciary responsibility and the industry shift away from undisclosed compensation and opaque commission practices. She serves on several boards and committees, from women’s mastermind groups in the insurance industry to nonprofit community organizations. She is also an active Rotarian and has held seats ranging from club and district offices to founding new initiatives. She is a proud advocate of Rotary Youth Exchange, inspired by deep gratitude for her own high school exchange experience.

Talia is a licensed insurance producer in six states, holds a Fiduciary Certification, and has completed several courses with the IFEBP.
