Dynamiq is a global risk management company headquartered in Sydney, NSW. Founded in 2005, the company is owned by CGU Insurance, which, in turn, is part of the Insurance Australia Group (IAG).

According to Dynamiq, its business aims to empower organisations to become more resilient through services that help them prevent, prepare for, and respond to various situations and emergencies that may affect their customers’ people, operations, or reputation.

It provides a range of technology and advisory services to mitigate the potential of costly incidents. In case of an incident, Dynamiq has a 24/7 accredited monitoring centre, which provides timely support, advice, and action to help clients deal with the incident.

According to the company, it has offices in Australia, Asia, and the Americas and it provides medical and security assistance to over 300,000 travellers, 200,000 expatriates, and 6,000 organisations each year.

Dynamiq’s services include the EMQnet, an online crisis management software system that acts like a virtual control room and connects the customer’s team across the globe using mobile devices. To ensure the security and accuracy of data, EMQnet has an ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems) accreditation.

The company provides mobile workforce solutions to assist customers that have employees working in the field. These solutions include StaySafe, a monitoring and notification system for lone or remote workers or a large international travelling workforce. It features a real-time alerts dashboard and a discreet alert button, in case a staff member needs assistance.

Dynamiq also provides business resilience consultation and emergency response services. It will assist with preparation and training of staff, as well as conduct exercises to determine an organisation’s readiness to meet various threats. Its emergency response training is conducted by experienced facilitators, and meets Australian Standard AS 3745.

Wilson is an experienced manager with over 20 years’ experience in general insurance. As chief operating officer since 2015, he is responsible for Dynamiq’s business operations. Before joining Dynamiq, he was with CGU Insurance, where he was national underwriting manager.

Dynamiq is a proud supporter of Interplast, a not-for-profit organisation that works to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities resulting from congenital or acquired medical conditions such as cleft lip and palate or burn scar contractures.

Interplast sends fully qualified Australian and New Zealand volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals to other Asia-Pacific countries, providing free surgical treatment for patients who would not be able to afford the procedures otherwise. It also works to facilitate medical training and mentoring for in-country medical personnel by supporting and building the capacity of local health services.

In 2017, Dynamiq and the Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) partnered to strengthen the resilience of Australian organisations, amid a decline in the survival rate of Australian businesses. The RMIA Special Interest Group on Organisational Resilience, led by Dynamiq’s Jason Gotch, released a guide to organisational resilience, which will serve as a roadmap for organisations to improve their resilience strategies.
