“We’re now beginning to see some green shoots.”
Those were the words of Howden group chief executive David Howden during an interview with the Financial Times. The publication cited Howden as predicting stabilized commercial insurance prices this year.
According to the CEO, the moderation will come following what is considered the “hardest” market his camp has ever seen. Howden pointed to insurance-linked securities as among the areas that will prove helpful.
Also citing improved competition in the broking market, Howden said: “There’s definitely more choice for clients [now].”
