The move to eDocs throughout the industry continues, as another insurer was given certification by the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations.

Gore Mutual is thrilled to be recognized by CSIO's certification program for eDocs,” says Sara McLennan, vice president of marketing and broker services at Gore Mutual Insurance Company. “We join CSIO's efforts to find ways to improve efficiencies for our broker partners and we look forward to expanding our current offering.”

CSIO data exchange standards are company neutral and help solve data compatibility issues, facilitate more efficient and seamless integration of information and improve implementation of technology solutions, says Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO, with certification available to member insurance companies and vendors.

“As a company that prides itself on being a paperless organization,” says Smola, “we applaud Gore Mutual on receiving CSIO Certification for eDocs and continuing its long tradition of delivering service excellence to its broker partners.”

eDocs is the first business activity available for certification, says Smola, with plans to expand the program to cover other activities.

Since its launch, the CSIO eDocs standard has seen a significant increase in adoption across the broker channel.

To assist brokers in calculating the time and costs savings of eDocs, CSIO has developed an eDocs Savings Calculator on its website, allowing brokers to determine the daily, monthly and yearly time and costs savings gained through the adoption of eDocs.
