Généralys assurance has formed a partnership with ESSOR insurance to create an insurance powerhouse in the Quebec City region.
The new partnership between the brokerages became effective on July 01, 2017 and was announced today. Both companies have been serving the Quebec region for more than 55 years.
Michel Duval, president of ESSOR Insurance, said: “We are proud to partner with a team that is so concerned about the well-being of its employees. Our organizations share a similar culture and business model that will continue the tradition of excellence that Généralys clients are used to.”
ESSOR Insurance now has 300 employees servicing clients through 22 branches. This deal places ESSOR among the top five brokerage firms in Quebec.
Généralys Assurance is a large brokerage specializing in home, auto, and commercial insurance in the Quebec region. It has a team of 80 professionals and turns over a premium volume of nearly $46 million per year. Despite the transaction, the company will continue to operate and serve clients with the same team from the same offices.
