Two BC-based insurance brokerages that merged in 2017 have announced that the resulting merged company will sport a new brand reflecting their union.

Capri Insurance and CMW Insurance Services have rebranded as CapriCMW – the name change took effect at the start of 2018.

As part of the rebranding, CapriCMW is launching a new visual identity and website, a release said.

The company said that the rebranding is its “next step towards integrating its operations under one roof,” following the merger in 2017.

The merger of Capri Insurance and CMW Insurance Services brought together a combined 63 years of insurance and risk management experience.

“The new name and brand provides us with a strong, unified identity and presence that reflects who we are today and into the future. We are well-positioned for continued growth and new opportunities, creating long-term value for our employees, clients, industry partners and communities,” said CapriCMW president Andrew Kemp.

“With so many small companies being acquired by large multinationals, it was important for us to maintain the trust and relationships we’ve developed over the years. As CapriCMW, we remain a local, independent company that offers unfiltered, unbiased advice in the best interest of each and every client,” added CapriCMW president Tim Miller.

CapriCMW also rolled out its new website, which is said to provide an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
