Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) announced Tuesday the handing over of leadership responsibility for AGCS North America  (AGCS NA) from Art Moossmann, currently  Board of Management member and President & CEO for AGCS NA, to Bill Scaldaferri from July 1, 2016.

Scaldaferri will continue as Chief Underwriting Officer Specialty lines with responsibility for the aviation, energy, entertainment and marine lines of business, as well as for Allianz Risk Transfer, in addition to his new North American role.

Scaldaferri joined Allianz in 1999 at Allianz Risk Transfer where he held various management positions including Chief Executive Officer, before joining the Board of AGCS in 2012. Bill is based in New York.

Moossmann will step down from the Board as of December 31, 2016.

Chris Fischer Hirs, AGCS SE CEO, adds: “Art has had a distinguished career with Allianz stretching over 17 years, and has truly been the architect of what AGCS has built in North America. He kindly agreed to lead the integration of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company into AGCS, which he has done with great effectiveness and speed – and now I fully respect his decision to move on. I am delighted he will continue to be available to support us until the end of 2017 and will work closely with Bill to ensure a smooth handover. I sincerely thank Art for his notable contribution.”
