CHES Special Risk is offering a diverse range of coverage options specifically tailored for funeral homes, undertakers, and related service providers.

In a press release, the MGA highlighted the pivotal role that these businesses play in providing solace to families during their most challenging moments, and how they require comprehensive insurance coverage that addresses their unique circumstances.

“At CHES Special Risk, we understand the distinct challenges faced by funeral home and undertaker business owners and the service providers associated with them,” said Maruf Hasan, director of underwriting. “With our in-house capacity and carrier partners, we are fully equipped to provide tailor-made insurance solutions that offer maximum protection against potential risks.”

The suite of offerings available for funeral homes and undertakers encompasses a broad spectrum of areas:

  • Property coverage encompassing buildings, contents, and inventory to mitigate potential losses stemming from fire, theft, vandalism, and other unforeseen perils.
  • General liability coverage for liabilities stemming from injuries inflicted upon third parties or damage sustained by third-party property to protect from potential legal claims that may arise over the course of daily operations.
  • Professional liability coverage for service providers who shoulder contractual obligations to protect them against claims of negligence, errors, or omissions.

Brokers working with funeral home and undertaker businesses can partner with CHES Special Risk to help secure their clients, the MGA said in its press release.

CHES Special Risk was one of Insurance Business Canada’s 5-Star MGAs for 2022, receiving recognition for its technical expertise, reputation, product knowledge, and ability to place niche or emerging risks.

In June, the company brought attention to its its customized offerings for businesses in the wedding industry, including bridal dress retail stores, wedding planners and event organizers, wedding photographers and videographers, florists and decorators, and banquet halls.
