D.G. McDermott Associates – a business management consultant based in New Jersey – has announced that it will launch a survey of the Canadian insurance industry and its salary data.

The new “Canadian Insurance Industry Compensation Survey” is sponsored by ENCON Group – the Canadian MGA unit of Victor Insurance Holdings. It will provide “unbiased, third party data to compare salary and incentives for Canadian insurance companies,” a release said.

The survey’s conductors claim that, prior to this study, the Canadian insurance industry has not had any reliable sources for salary and incentives data.

“Most of the data available does not address compensation for jobs specific to Canadian insurance companies,” explained D.G. McDermott Associates owner and principal Don McDermott.

Don added that the compensation survey will be tailored for Canadian insurers, offering confidential, real-world comparisons to their peers.

Participation in the survey is free, and all participants will receive a customized report covering managerial, professional, and support roles. The comparisons will cover base pay, commission, and bonus data, as well as long-term incentives.

The enrolment is open until August 09, 2019.
