Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has unveiled its acquisition of retail P&C insurance broker Cain Insurance Services in Fredericton, NB.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1986, Cain Insurance Services provides commercial and personal insurance to clients throughout the region. The broker has broad expertise, with a focus on serving clients in the public sector, as well as the manufacturing, agriculture, realty, and construction sectors.
As part of the deal, Cain Insurance Services president and co-owner Dan Cain, vice president and co-owner Luke Cain, and their associates will continue to operate from their current location. They will operate under the direction of Gallagher Atlantic Canada retail property/casualty brokerage operations area president Michael Thornhill.

Last November, Gallagher acquired the HR consulting firm Optimum Talent in Montreal, QC. Optimum Talent is one of Canada’s largest privately-owned integrated talent management firms.
