Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Sinclair Billard and Weld Limited, and CJM Solutions + Inc., dba SBW Employee Benefits.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in Halifax, NS, SBW designs, administers, markets and manages comprehensive group insurance programs and defined contribution group retirement programs. The firm serves businesses and associations across Atlantic Canada. SBW also provides consulting advice on employee assistance plans and wellness programs.

A release said that the SBW team – Rob Weld, Jamie Spence, Lorie Collins and their associates – will continue to operate from their Halifax location under the leadership of Gallagher Canadian employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations president Melanie Jeannotte.
