Arthur J. Gallagher has extended its Canadian footprint in Alberta with the acquisition of Insight Insurance & Risk Management Ltd., the official brokerage of the Edmonton Oilers.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Alexis Harke, the Edmonton-based retail insurance brokerage serves a diverse client base through Western Canada and has particular expertise in the construction, real estate, hospitality, sports & entertainment industries.

“We’re simply thrilled to become a part of the growing Gallagher family in Canada,” Harke commented. “Being part of a global brokerage is going to greatly benefit our clients.”

Harke and the Insight team will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Kevin Neiles, president, Western Canada for Gallagher’s retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
