A leading hand in mergers and acquisitions in the North American market has moved another rung up the ladder.

Clark Wormer, 35, has been promoted to Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, at HUB International, from his previous role as Director of M&A.

Wormer is responsible for corporate development for HUB’s entire geographic footprint – in both Canada and the United States – which includes oversight of the team responsible for identifying potential targets, developing and negotiating deal structures, analytics and modeling, due diligence and execution of transactions.

Prior to joining HUB in 2005, Wormer worked for Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc., a Sam Zell Corporation, where he maintained oversight of the financials of the company while reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Wormer is involved with numerous charitable organizations in the Chicagoland area.  He is the founding Chairperson of the Associate Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF). Since inception in 2011, the Midwest Division of the IICF has granted just over $1.3 million for various Midwest-based charities including Bears Care and Lazarus House.

He is a founding member of the Advisory Board of Community Support Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.

Wormer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University and is currently in the process of earning his Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Wormer lives in Elmhurst, Ill. with his wife and their two children.
