There is one software provider that is smiling today, inking a deal to provide Hub International its broker management platform.

Hub International has selected Applied Systems’ Epic platform for its brokerage management.

“The commitment we made to consolidate onto Applied Epic is a natural step in our business transformation initiative by establishing a single view into our business with consistent reporting companywide,” says Martin Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer of Hub International. “Applied Epic will enable us to manage our rapidly expanding global footprint as we acquire new businesses and strengthen our position to serve more clients worldwide in today’s competitive insurance marketplace.”

The Applied Epic system allows agencies and brokerages to utilize a single system to manage customer relationships, policy administration and financial accounting processes, while offering a comprehensive view of client information and internal operations

According to the joint press release, use of the system will also allow for stronger business continuity and reduced IT support costs.

“Increasing consolidation and competition within the insurance agency market are driving brokerages to transform their businesses with systems that provide greater consistency and enhanced business insights to strengthen client relationships and drive business growth,” says Reid French, chief executive officer of Applied Systems. “Applied Epic will enable Hub to increase its ability to quickly and proactively address the needs of its regional operations while centrally managing business growth with consistent processes across its entire enterprise.”
