Insurance firm La Capitale Financial Group has partnered with a bestselling chef to promote healthy living in the workplace.

La Capitale has partnered with Hubert Cormier, nutritionist and bestselling author. The collaboration will include a series of articles by Cormier on La Capitale’s blog.

Cormier’s columns will address food and nutrition in a work context, according to a La Capitale news release. Cormier will discuss topics like the perfect lunch, how to choose the best restaurant and more.

La Capitale, meanwhile, has promoted healthy lifestyles for more than 10 years through its VIVA program, which promotes a more engaged and happier staff, increased productivity and decreased absenteeism.

“For La Capitale, this collaboration with Hubert Cormier is obvious,” said Annie Giguère, La Capitale director of innovation, business solutions and marketing. “Eating healthy is an ongoing challenge, especially at work. Therefore, VIVA pays particular attention to a balanced diet.”

Poor eating habits increase the risk of chronic disease – and they also impact drug consumption, absenteeism and productivity rates in the workplace.

“That’s why eating well is important,” said Giguère.

“Books like those of Hubert Cormier give the taste to cook and eat well,” she added. “We are confident that his columns on the La Capitale blog will facilitate the lives of many workers who want to eat well at work.”
