One specialty insurance provider is increasing their excess/umbrella coverage underwriting capacity by $15 million.

Specialty Insurance Group (SIG), which provides specialty insurance programs in the sports, leisure and entertainment industries, has increased their capacity to $25 million, which is an increase of $15 million.

“Now SIG can place up to $25 million excess/umbrella coverage in-house, with our A+, XV rated affiliated Everest Re Group insurance carriers,” said Greg Mosher, managing director of SIG. “It’s an opportunity for us to keep everything internal and provide real value for our clients. From the very beginning, SIG has strived to provide the best for our clients and strategic alliance brokers; this is just another step as we continue to provide high levels of excellence in underwriting the sports, leisure and entertainment segments.”

SIG, an affiliate of Everest Re Group, Ltd., views the increase as an important step forward as it nears its two-year anniversary, particularly as the company continues to develop additional product and service capabilities designed specifically for the sports, leisure and entertainment industries.

The increase in excess/umbrella capacity will benefit business in all forms of the sports, leisure and entertainment industries, reinforcing SIG’s position as a world leader in providing dynamic, cutting edge, specialty insurance products and programs.
