One Ontario insurer has taken the training wheels off its claims administrative system, making it available to all municipal clients in the province.

Frank Cowan Company launched Guidewire ClaimCenter in 2013 as its new claims administrative system, and after six months of stable use, the company initiated a pilot project with a small group of select municipal clients.

With that pilot successfully complete, Frank Cowan Company now offering all Ontario municipal clients access to ClaimCenter.

“Guidewire gives clients in depth real time information on all of their claims, whether open or closed,” says Derek Sarluis, VP, Claims. “Now they can download and analyze information in a report format that makes sense for their particular needs. Notes and financials are available in real time and that is very useful when heading into a council meeting.”

ClaimCenter is an end-to-end claims management system, with more than 100 clients currently using the system worldwide.

Long-standing clients will particularly enjoy that the Company’s claims history extends over 15 years, says Frank Cowan Company President Larry Ryan, adding that this level of detailed information is not often readily available for client access in this niche insurance sector.

“Frank Cowan Company is continuously striving to make it easier for our clients to work with us,” says Ryan. “Our goal is to implement systems that help us respond quicker with greater efficiency and accuracy. Guidewire ClaimCenter is a state of the art system that helps us achieve this end. Best of all, we offer it at no additional charge to our clients.”
