Kernaghan Adjusters has appointed Owen Watson to the position of vice-president, BC operations – a newly-created position.

Watson first joined Kernaghan Adjusters in 2017, as a London services manager. In 2018, his role was expanded, earning him the position of director of specialty markets. In his new role as vice-president of BC operations, Watson will focus on the entire British Columbia market, a release said. He will work with the company’s BC team and clients.

He began his insurance career as a claims examiner with Commonwealth Insurance in Vancouver in 2005. In this role, he handled a portfolio of claims which included complex property losses in the multi-million dollar range. He later joined QBE in London, England, where he managed a global portfolio of third-party administrators and coverholders.

“Owen will be instrumental to the growth of our operations in BC. I look forward to working with him to deliver industry leading claims solutions,” said Kernaghan Adjusters president and CEO Patti Kernaghan in a statement.

Kernaghan Adjusters has been in business for more than 65 years. Clients of the insurance adjusting firm include AMA, BFL Canada, FedEx, Hub International, Premier Group of Companies, and ENMAX Corporation.
