P&C veteran joins CSIO ranks

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations welcomes a new program manager to its Toronto office, bringing almost two decades of experience in P&C insurance.

Amanda Ketelaars began her career as a customer service broker for McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers Inc. before working more than 19 years in the P&C sector.

“We are pleased to welcome Amanda to the CSIO team,” says Catherine Smola, president & CEO of CSIO. “Her extensive industry knowledge and passion for the broker distribution channel will be invaluable in supporting CSIO’s strategic mandate as we work towards improving the competitiveness of the channel.”

Most recently, Ketelaars held various roles in consulting, training and product management at Keal Technology. Her achievements include developing several best practice workflows, conducting implementation training for over 3,000 users and facilitating numerous educational sessions at industry events across Canada.  

As Program Manager, Ketelaars will lead CSIO working group activities that enable the identification and implementation of leading-edge technology standards and solutions for the broker distribution channel.

CSIO is best known for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of technology standards and solutions such as eDocs, Telematics and eSignatures. In addition, CSIO continues to maintain and operate the industry-owned EDI mail network service, CSIOnet.
