Rogers Insurance has announced that broker Schwartz Reliance Insurance has joined its partner network.

The partnership comes after Schwartz Reliance Insurance purchased an A-WIN Insurance branch location in Medicine Hat, AB earlier this month. A-WIN Insurance is an independent insurance brokerage that has been a member of the Rogers Insurance Group of Companies since 2019.

According to a release, Rogers Insurance has remained dedicated to “expanding [its] network of community-focused branch partners located across Western Canada,” and this partnership reflects that goal.

“We are thrilled to have Schwartz Reliance Insurance join the A-WIN branch partner network,” said Rogers Insurance chief operating officer Bruce Rabik. “Their longevity, reputation and dedication to Southern Albertans is impressive. We know they will continue to provide Medicine Hat residents and businesses with exceptional insurance solutions and customer service.”

“Our family has independently owned and operated our business for nearly 40 years,” added Schwartz Reliance Insurance president John Howe. “To partner with Rogers Insurance—who has been steadfast in expanding and strengthening the independent brokerage model across Canada—was an opportunity we couldn’t pass on. We look forward to building a strong partnership with Rogers Insurance as well as joining the Canadian Broker Network.”

Following the partnership deal and Schwartz Reliance Insurance’s acquisition of the A-WIN Insurance office, Mitch Holst will serve as the branch’s partner.

Based in Lethbridge, AB, Schwartz Reliance Insurance has been serving its local community for over 90 years. The broker has business units in Fort Macleod, Claresholm, Vauxhall, Taber, Coaldale and Stettler.

Rogers Insurance co-founded the Canadian Broker Network in 2002 and is an executive member.
