In January, Ontario brokers rated their five best insurers, and found that brokers have a better relationship with their carriers now than they did in 2010.

In February, Dave Nussbaumer made a habit out of securing funds for community projects, winning in the annual Aviva Community Fund competition for the second year in a row.

Insurers cast their votes in March for the dumbest insurance criminals in Canada. And there were some real winners, from boat owners who can’t add to probing toothpicks.

And it was no April Fool’s joke following a Court of Appeal ruling was bumped up to the Supreme Court, putting into question the adequacy of liability limits for broker clients in one province.
