Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Grant Williamson to lead its corporate risk and broking (CRB) operations in Canada.
In this role, Williamson will work with leadership teams in Canada, North America, as well as with global specialty lines, to support the company’s growth strategy in the Canadian market through specific commercial initiatives and local execution.
WTW’s CRB business in Canada is part of the firm’s broader North American framework, which is structured around industry specialization. Introduced in 2022, this model organizes capabilities into 12 industry verticals, including aerospace, construction, financial institutions and healthcare.
Williamson joined WTW in October 2024 as deputy regional leader, chief commercial officer and head of strategy and execution for Willis in Canada. He has 20 years of experience in enterprise risk management, property and casualty insurance and employment practices liability.
His previous roles include national corporate segment and central zone leader at Marsh, as well as managing director of the Toronto branch at JLT Canada. Williamson is based in Toronto and reports to Ionel Rizea, chief commercial officer for CRB North America.
