Global re/insurance group XL Catlin has appointed Tim McMahon as global chief underwriting officer, property, effective May 01, 2017.

As part of XL Catlin’s global underwriting team, McMahon will be in charge of managing the company’s property insurance portfolio in all global markets. He will be based in London.

McMahon’s experience in the re/insurance industry spans over 20 years, with experience in senior management positions dealing with wholesale, retail, and reinsurance. He joined XL Catlin in 2011 as head of property, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He was later promoted to head of energy, property & construction, Asia Pacific, relocating to Australia.
