Westland Insurance Group has launched a new brand that is focused on supporting the insurance needs of its small business clients.

The new Westland Small Business Solutions brand will offer leading product options through Canada’s largest insurance carriers – this includes insurance programs that are “unique to Westland,” a release said. Clients will be serviced by professional and responsive business advisors, which Westland says would provide a “seamless client experience” so that clients can focus on running their businesses.

“Westland enjoys a longstanding and enviable reputation as small business insurance specialists,” said Westland EVP of commercial & specialty Donna Barclay. “Our priority is to protect our clients’ assets while delivering a consistently exceptional client experience. We’re excited to bring the full value of Westland to small business entrepreneurs across Canada.”

“Canadian small business owners play such an important role in our economy, and we want to be their number one choice for insurance,” said Westland president & CEO Jamie Lyons.

Lyons explained that by segmenting its commercial brands, Westland can “focus on what makes each group of clients special,” while tailoring services to meet customers’ specifications. The CEO added that the launch of the Small Business Solutions brand, Westland can showcase its small business insurance expertise and bring business owners some peace of mind.

Last month, Westland acquired the brokerage RiskTech Insurance Services. Based in Edmonton, AB, RiskTech is a brokerage that provides specialized capabilities and technical expertise, with a focus on serving large and mid-market commercial clients.
