A massive collaboration has launched a comprehensive cyber risk management solution for businesses faced with ever-growing cyber threats in North America.

Described as an industry-first, the offering comprises not only enhanced cyber cover but also security technology, secure devices, and cyber security domain expertise. It features Aon’s cyber resilience evaluation services, Cisco and Apple’s technology, and enhanced cyber insurance from Allianz. The aim is to help a wider range of organizations better manage cyber risk.

Business customers using Cisco® Ransomware Defense and qualified Apple products will be eligible for the Allianz-developed enhanced cyber insurance. Underwritten by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the product includes enhancements such as broader coverage and lower deductibles.

In the event of a malware attack, firms will have access to Cisco and Aon’s incident response teams. Cyber security professionals from Aon are also involved early on, assessing clients’ cyber resilience and recommending ways to improve defences against threats – with customers’ improved cyber posture helping them qualify for the enhanced cover.

“Ransomware is an evolving risk that impacts every level of an enterprise,” said Jason Hogg, chief executive of Aon Cyber Solutions. “Organizations urgently need to be managing these risks from both the technical and the financial perspective. This holistic solution provides our clients with an integrated approach to addressing ransomware risk.”

For Bill Scaldaferri, president & CEO of AGCS North America, proactive analysis coupled with the latest technology creates an ideal defence.

“This strategic alliance with Aon, Apple, and Cisco allows us to provide a unique solution to companies using this integrated platform to manage risk and ultimately strengthen their battle against high-profile threats,” he said.
